Ray in the Isle of Man 1969 on his SX150 S-Type reg DRO 70G in Jaguar Dark Green with large bore silencer, double engine mounts and 12 Volt lighting. Which cost new in 1968 £214.10p.
Original SX200 S-Type The Orange colour mixed and sprayed by Arthur, there were a few more S-Types in this colour, which was a beautiful colour. Currently I am looking for the whereabouts of the two Lambretta I had S Types regs BAU 618B and URO 48E any information would be welcome. Thanks Tony.
SX150 - Owned for 30+ years. DSC 175cc Top end - 26mm Amal Carburettor and repo Ancillotti box. Still running on a 12v 1960s style positive earth points system. Fitted with a genuine Smiths chronometric speedo and direct crank drive tacho. North Riding registered in March 1968 - A much used/enjoyed small block machine.
1969 Grand Prix owned since 1983 in one form or another 'Triggers Broom' - painted twice by AFR in AF S type livery, once in the 80s and again in the 90s. Currently running a DSC lined TS1 - BGM Clubman and 30mm VHSH Dellorto carburetor. Machine has carried me to many events both at home abroad - Great memories and hopefully many more to come.
This original UK TV175 was first registered in Stoke-on-Trent on 30th August 1963, and was owned by work colleague of John at the Selly Oak Hospital during the 1960’s. John took over ownership of the scooter in a stripped down condition in 2016. The TV175 was re-sprayed in a S Type colour scheme by AF Rayspeed who also assisted in the rebuilding the engine as a standard 175cc.
Replica S-Type SX225cc, started life as stardard Lambretta 150 in late 1968, I decided to change it into a 60’s S Type replica to celebrate AF’s 50th Anniversary of the S Type, where it won a trophy presented by Arthur Francis.
Bought as an SX 200 in white, I wanted to build an S type replica. Engine TS1 225 barrel kit with high compression head, AF crank, Reedvalve, 32mm Dellorto flatside carb, SX200 gearbox with 16 tooth front sprocket. KRP 1 Kegra Exhaust, wide rims front and rear with S1 350/10 Tyres. The scooter has completed various rallies over the years including the Lambretta club coast to coast several times and the Lambretta club IOM events.
An original copy, sprayed by Ray Kemp who prepared the original Norman Ronald GP 125cc, JUR 18G for the Isle of Man in 1969.
An original S-Type built by Ben Kemp and sprayed by Ray Kemp ready for the AF 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2014 incorporating Anniversary badge. Photo's of the bike was used by AF for their Anniversary memorabilia on mugs, plates and clocks.
The scooter is a slightly modern take on the 69 Team S Equipe IOM team. It currently runs a tuned race rapido, 28mm dellorto, af rb crank, af road clutch, MB clubman, bgm shock and dampers, sebring rack and original giuliari seat.

Purchased new in 1966 a SX200 S-Type registration number OUR 57D. I have kept original sales leaflets, decided to convert my 1964 Li Special into a replica of my 1966 S-Type this was due to the 50th AF Rayspeed event in August 2014. As the result I won best replica S-Type. Have ridden Lambretta's since 1964 and have owned in the region of 30, I still ride two Lambretta's today one being a replica S-Type and my GP 200.
